Zarate, Pandev Tidak Dijual

Presiden klub Lazio Claudio Lotito menegaskan tak akan menjual Mauro Zarate dan Goran Pandev.

Kedua pemain andalan klub asal kota Roma itu memang dikabarkan sedang diincar Fiorentina. Bahkan La Viola disinyalir sudah mengadakan kontak dengan kedua pemain itu.

Kabar itu ternyata dibantah langsung oleh Lotito. Ia menyatakan tak akan menjual Zarate maupun Pandev ke klub lain, apalagi ke Fiorentina.

"Zarate dan Pandev akan ke Fiorentina? Saya tak pernah mendapat kontak seperti itu dari mereka. Rasanya aneh kenapa gosip semacam ini bisa terjadi," sanggahnya melalui Datasport.

"Fiorentina sudah punya Gilardino dan Mutu di lini depan. Jadi untuk apa lagi mereka menambah striker, saya pikir ini hanya ulah beberapa media yang ingin memanaskan suasana."

Lotito juga membantah kalau pelatih Biancocelesti Delio Rossi bersedia melepas Zarate dan Pandev. "Rossi sudah berbicara kepada saya, dan ia sudah menegaskan tak ingin kehilangan Pandev dan Zarate. Jadi saya anggap masalah ini sudah selesai," pungkasnya.

Menjual Zarate dan Pandev sama saja menjual 1/3 kekuatan Lazio. Janganlah, Lazio lagi butuh sosok yang dapat dijadikan penggedor, jika mereka terpaksa dijual akan susah mendapatkan penggantinya kembali. Soalnya harga2 striker2 muda sekarang mahal2.

If an agreement won't be found, Filipas and Pires will move to Milan where they will meet Inter executives. After the ywo meetings it will be finally possible to know if Angelery will play in Italy in the next season.

Napoli Want Lazio's Stefano Mauri - Agent


Should Lazio fail to qualify for Europe, it will be necessary for them to sell many of their big names.

Promising winger Stefano Mauri would also be likely to go, and according to his agent, Tiziano Gonzaga, Napoli are very interested.

Speaking on Radio Incontro, he said, “My client would like to stay in Rome, he has bought a house and is very happy here.

“But no footballer in the world likes to sit on the bench and Stefano is no different.”

Gonzaga went on to explain who might be interested.

“Mauri is an important player, so I think lots of clubs would like to have him.

“[Napoli’s sporting director, Pierpaolo] Marino has certainly come forward, and [former Italy coach Roberto] Donandoni [now coach of Napoli] certainly liked him because Stefano played for the national side while he was in charge.”

The 29-year-old is in need of a new contract but contacts from the Biancocelesti seem to have been sparse, as his agent explained.

“I met with the president a while back and he told me he had a few other things to put in order, and then he would be in touch. I hope he calls back before the end of the

Inter outcast Julio Cruz could be on his way to Lazio at the end of the season as president of the Roman club Claudio Lotito is demanding more fire power.

The Argentine striker has endured a miserable season at the San Siro as he has not really been a part of Jose Mourinho's plans. In addition, the Nerazzurri have not moved to offer 34-year-old Cruz an extension to his current deal, which expires in June.

Il Corriere Dello Sport claims the Biancocelesti are making early enquiries for the hitman. Although Cruz has not played much for Inter this term, he still has the goal scoring prowess of a top striker.

Reports suggest Cruz will be struck off by Mourinho at the end of the season as the Portuguese coach wants to trim his squad.

Although indications from the Rome-based publication show an interest in the striker, Claudio Lotito may not like Cruz's salary. The hitman is currently earning around €3 million per season in Milan. Such a figure may need to be trimmed down if he is to make the switch to Formello.

The striker's agent, Jorge Cysterpiller, has tried to play down the speculation.

"I have not been in touch with any clubs," the agent told Il Corriere Dello Sport. "I will be in Italy in May and we will take a decision then. Julio is an Inter player and he will only be thinking about them until the end of his deal."

Goran Pandev To Sign New Lazio Deal

The Biancocelesti star has promised he will soon commit his future to the club until 2014.

Lazio fans are eagerly waiting for president Claudio Lotito to keep his promise and tie down striking duo Mauro Zarate and Goran Pandev.

The Argentine is expected to sign for the club on a permanent basis by the end of April, and the Macedonian international has been in talks over a new deal in recent weeks because his current contract expires in 2010.

“I am satisfied with the way negotiations are progressing,” Pandev told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I believe that I will pen a new contract until 2014 at the end of the season, most likely in June. The fans and the club truly love me here in Rome.”

The Aquile have been through ups and downs this term but are still within reach of a place in Europe.

“I am quite pleased and I feel we can still qualify for the UEFA cup,” he maintained.

“It’s difficult to do so through the league and that’s why I want to win the Coppa Italia. It is obvious, though, that this has been a see-saw of a season for Lazio and we have not met our targets.”

Lazio defeated Juventus 2-1 in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final and will have to defend their slender lead at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin on April 22.

Presiden Lazio Claudio Lotito membantah bila klubnya menginginkan striker Inter Julio Cruz.
Bomber asal Argentina rumornya akan segera hijrah ke ibukota Italia untuk bergabung dengan Lazio.

Spekulasi ini muncul merujuk pada minimnya kesempatan bermain yang dimiliki Julio Cruz di Inter. Indikasi lain yang menguatkan spekulasi tersebut adalah tumpulnya lini depan Lazio.

Akan tetapi kemungkinan bergabungnya Julio Cruz ke Lazio dibantah oleh presiden klub Claudio Lotito.

"Cruz pastinya merupakan pemain bagus, tapi dia tidak termasuk dalam pemain yang masuk bidikan kami," ungkap Lotito kepada Corriere dello Sport.

Lotito memaparkan alasan pihaknya tidak akan menarik Julio Cruz dari Inter di masa mendatang.

"Ada dua alasan mengapa saya berani mengatakan ini, yang pertama dia akan membuat kami mengeluarkan banyak uang dan dia akan meminta gaji yang tidak sedikit dalam beberapa tahun ke depan," tandas Lotito lagi.

Gila Lotito sempat bilang seperti itu, masak masalah gaji jadi alasan untuk tidak mengembangkan klub. Pribadi saya setuju dengan pembelian Cruz walaupun Lazio masih ada policy salary cap.

Sepertinya Lotito sangat selektif dan cenderung pelit membelanjakan pemain, ya untung2 ada pemain muda potensial yang murah untuk dibeli. Kalau tidak ada, ya harus membeli pemain yang sudah jadi.
