Kiper Catania, Albano Bizzari mengkonfirmasikan bahwa dirinya telah resmi menjadi pemain Lazio di Radio Cadena 3. Bizzari pindah ke Lazio dengan status bebas transfer setelah kontraknya habis bersama Catania.

Kiper berusia 31 tahun ini memang dirumorkan pindah ke Lazio sejak bulan April, namun baru kali inilah ia mengkonfirmasikan kepindahannya. "Saya sangat bahagia dengan petualangan baru ini. Saya akan bermain untuk Lazio."

Mantan kiper Racing Club, Real Madrid, Valladolid dan Gimnastic ini termasuk salah satu kiper yang dinilai bermain gemilang di musim 2008/2009 lalu. Bermain 32 kali, Bizzari berhasil membuat clean sheet 8 kali dan total ia kemasukan 51 gol selama satu musim di seri-a.

The Swedish hitman is keen to move to a bigger club this summer and he could be heading for Serie A...


According to a report in the Swedish press, Serie A outfit Lazio are closely monitoring the situation of highly rated Groningen striker Marcus Berg.

Aftonbladet claims that Roman outfit are set to part company with Macedonian forward Goran Pandev this summer, and that they've targeted the Swedish international as the perfect replacement.

Berg joined Groningen from Swedish outfit Goteborg in 2007 and quickly developed in to an important first team member at his new team.

The young attacker has scored 32 league goals in 56 appearances for the Green and White Army to date and this excellent goals to games ratio has resulted in interest from several bigger teams.

An earlier report suggested that both Premier League side Everton and Dutch champions AZ are keeping tabs on the prolific hitman, too.

Groningen are reluctant to let go of the 22-year-old, but they might be tempted to let go of their star player if a bid in the region of €13 million comes in . Berg's current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2011.

Dario Dainelli (Fiorentina): After losing his regular place in the starting line-up at Fiorentina, the experienced centre-back has arrived on Lazio’s radar as they look to sure up their most fragile department. With some talented youth coming through the ranks, Lotito is in desperate need of a defensive leader to form a partnership with Modibo Diakite in the new look Lazio backline.

Sebastian Battaglia (Boca Juniors): The Argentine international has been a long term target of the Biancocelesti. After a move fell through two years ago, it now seems likely that Lotito is ready for another assault. With a midfield partnership of Maxi-Battaglia, the Biancocelesti would almost certainly be ready to mount a serious challenge for fourth place.

Pavel Nedved (Juventus): Despite his outspoken intention to retire from football, it seems there could be a ray of light for a shock return, as the Czech fury looks to carry on at the age of 36. With the player’s agent adamant that his client has not turned his back on football, Lotito will be monitoring the player’s situation as he looks to bring a fan favourite back to the Olimpico. Given Nedved’s professional nature, he would almost certainly be a model example to the young dressing room.

Maxi Rodriguez (Atletico Madrid): A long time favourite of Claudio Lotito, the influential midfielder could be brought to Rome is part of a swap deal for Carrizo. With Lazio’s midfield performing well below par last season, the Argentinean midfielder could prove to be the missing link for a young side full of potential.

Roberto Aquafresca (Genoa): The talented U21 international looks set to be used as a bargaining chip by Genoa this summer after the Grifoni secured his head in part of the Milito deal. With Preziosi keen to get his hands on Lorenzo De Silvestri, Lazio would do well to bring the forward the other way – as they look to complete their attacking line with a traditional centre-forward.

Juan Pablo Carrizo - The Argentine no.1 has endured a disastrous campaign despite the hype surrounding his much awaited arrival in the capital. With his place now firmly second in the pecking order behind Nando Muslera, it seems certain that Lazio will opt to offload him in a swap deal for Maxi Rodriguez.

Emilson Cribari – The Brazilian has long expressed his desire to leave following his lack of playing time this season. With a number of clubs including Fiorentina said to be tracking the former Empoli stopper, it seems likely that Lotito will grant his wish and send him on his way.

Lorenzo De Silvestri – Despite being a favourite with the Biancocelesti faithful, it seems more than likely the Lazio youth product is set to leave the capital after struggling to find space this season. After publicly expressing their appreciation for the young full-back, it seems Genoa are in pole position to secure his services next season.

Mourad Meghni – The French-Algerian was billed as a mini-Zidane when he made his moved to Lazio just two seasons ago. In this time he has been plagued by injury and failed to find space after a series of poor performances. Despite his team-mates claim that he is the most technical player in training, the Lazio faithful will have no regrets when he is offloaded this summer.

Francelino Matuzalem – Despite an impressive end to the campaign, it seems unlikely that Lotito will take up the option to by the Brazilian outright from current owners Real Zaragoza. If his regular trips to the infirmary are coupled with his €12m price tag, it seems more than likely the Lazio patron will look to reinforce the midfield with some new personnel.

Stephen Makinwa – After a disappointing loan spell with Chievo, it is almost certain that the Nigerian forward will be offloaded elsewhere as Lazio look to reduce their squad to more manageable levels.

Goran Pandev – The Macedonian hit-man has made no secrets of his desire to leave the capital in search of a new challenge elsewhere. Despite Lotito’s efforts to keep one of his favourite assets, it looks likely the player will get his way - with Bayern Munich looking the most likely of destinations.

Sometimes it feels like playing chess when you think about Lazio in these days: there’s just one move left to the checkmate. No, it’s not Czech mate, even if rumours wanted Pavel Nedved to join Lazio at the very end of his career, and Hoffenheim has reportedly offered 3 million euros for David Rozehnal.
The first move Lazio are about to make is choosing a coach (of course the main candidate remains Ballardini), who normally is to be considered the linchpin of a new project. If President Claudio Lotito completes this move in the days to come, many other kings and knights can move to their natural position.
First king to be moved will be the transfer market one. Many situations are lying in wait but they are quite far from being defined. Ledesma’s one appear to be the quickest to be solved since on Friday 12th June his agent Vincenzo D’Ippolito will meet Lotito and discuss the argentine midfielder situation. If they don’t find an agreement by Monday, the former Boca Juniors and Lecce player might use FIFA’s article 17 to free himself.
Pandev situation promises to be a long arm wrestling. The Macedonian player asked to be sold and, according to Daily Mail, Arsenal have offered 20 million euros for his fee. Lotito has to decide in the end, but normally it would be better to let a player go if he doesn’t want to stay. He wouldn’t perform as usual and it would be a big loss for the club both technically and economically wise. If we consider that Bayern Munich had offered 30 million euros last season just because they saw him strike twice in the home game against Real Madrid, Pandev’s price have already gone down in the space of one year. One might say that Ledesma was almost forced to stay for the 2007/08 season, but he was considered pivotal in Delio Rossi’s tactics. Thus there was not any risk he would be underestimated.
At the same time, apart from the 21 players who will make it back to Formello by the 5th July (which is the day the new roster will gather at the training ground), Lazio has officially signed Albano Bizzarri from Catania. The Argentine goalkeeper is the second in Europe (that is, the main five European Leagues) for his saving average (4.78), just behind Energie Cottbus’ Gerhard Tremmel (5.03).
The feeling about the remaining players is that they will wait and see what will be the attitude of the new coach. Some of them felt Delio Rossi snubbed them. Luciano Zauri and Guglielmo Stendardo are both coming back from loans to Fiorentina and Lecce. Zauri could have played one more year in the Champions League with Fiorentina: and that clearly gives the idea of why he left. Stendardo of course prefer to play in Serie A rather than B with Lecce, but he had many problems with the club last season so he will have to make do with the situation or at least clarify his position. The point is that the Napoli born defender sued the club for not being allowed to train with his own team mates last summer and won the case. He gave the money he got to charity, with the Fondazione Gabriele Sandri and Sister Paola’s So.Spe benefiting from it. Willy, as he’s commonly known, deserves to be there fighting for a place in the starting line-up but the situation doesn’t completely depend on him. If he doesn’t stay, Udinese could be ready for a swap with Domizzi.
Another central defender with blurred ideas is Emilson Sanchez Cribari, who appears to suffer from Maicon’s syndrome. The Brazilian Inter Milan right-back has told La Gazzetta dello Sport:
«I am not a phenomenon, but I am not any old player either. For three years Inter have treated me with indifference, perhaps, because they are all worried about satisfying Ibrahimovic. New contracts. Special prizes. I am not jealous of Ibra. He is a phenomenon. This is not the problem. I am just tired of being mistreated.» Fair enough. And Cribari thinks the same as regards the situation of some of his team mates whose desires have always been satisfied, without even being close to Ibrahimovic level.
After the coach will be chosen, many of these situations should finally fit in. And at the same time Lazio should plan some friendlies and unveil the new kits.
On Wednesday 10th June, team manager Manzini and his staff confirmed that the club is looking for some matchday package suitable to those fans aiming to make the trip to Beijing. The Supercup game will take place in the Bird’s Nest Stadium at 8pm local time (1 pm in Italy). It should be considered a privilege to play at such day and time since last year’s Olympics opening ceremony was held exactly on the 8th August (8th month of the year) of 2008 at 8 pm. On that day, Lazio played at Anfield Road a pre-season friendly against Liverpool at 8pm in the UK, losing 1-0. The outcome though should not be the same: after all, it’s not 2008 anymore…!
